The mum-of-one appeared to drop a hint that the Loose Women panel was the exact type of situation she liked been in
Tamara Ecclestone has hit out at critics who slammed her for breastfeeding her two-year-old daughter again.
The mum-of-one took a firm stand, explaining during an appearance on Loose Women that for her, there will be no cut off point when it comes to breastfeeding Sophia.
Tamara, 31, shared the ‘brelfie’ on her Instagram page last summer and said she isn’t ready to give up any time soon: “No. When she is ready, when she doesn’t want it anymore then I’ll be done but up until then I am not going to take it away from her.
“I don’t give it to her via a bottle, she gets it from me. When she doesn’t need it anymore then we will both be ready and we will be done.”
The Formula One heiress has come under fire recently from critics over her parenting decisions but said: “I’m feeling I’m doing the best I can and I’m following my instincts and just go on the fact that she is such a happy girl that is doing so well in life so it doesn’t really bother me.
“I find it bizarre that the breast feeding caused so much controversy because when I initially posted that picture it was never intended to do that it has kind of spiralled into something else.
“Which I am glad about because I think it needs to be talked about and if I can do anything to normalise what is normal then I am happy to be a part of that.”
Tamara also defended herself against Janet Street Porter who questioned why she didn’t pursue a career instead of relying on her father Bernie Ecclestone’s money.
“I must ask, you have four A-Levels, obviously you have inherited so much money why didn’t you think of going to work or have a career?”
“I do! I have my business, I have my Show Beauty brand, I have the products, I have the salons, which are doing really well,” Tamara hit back.
Janet questioned her father’s wish for her to be a lawyer, to which Tamara agreed explaining she enjoyed having a healthy debate.
Hinting that appearing on the Loose Women panel was something she liked to do she said: “He did. To be honest I do enjoy, this is the situation I love because I love talking about things and I can see things from different sides.
“I guess I don’t have a nine-to-five but I am so proud of my career and that I manage to juggle being a mum and launching a brand which is really successful.”
Tamara said that her obsession with her daughter meant that she and her husband Jay Rutland no longer went out on dates, instead choosing to stay indoors.
The revelation shocked Coleen Nolan who was worried the heiress’ marriage wouldn’t last if she didn’t give her hubby much needed attention.
